Writer's Block: Does this job come with a crown?

.We lived on the side of Mathews where there were duplexes..Mostly supervisors lived in the larger houses. My Daddy was a foreman and my mother was a inspector when we first moved to Mathews. But when my daddy got foreman, she could not work in same department so she went to weave room on third shift.  And then later was transferred to Adams Plant to work in Cloth Room on First Shift. The Adams Plant was in Ninety Six, SC.
I will have to write more later because time to cook. I promice to write more later. Just having hard time with some of these memories.
I will write about sisters getting married. I will write about me getting molested. I will write about when older guys jumped me. And if I can handle about the 16 years I was married.

Writer's Block: Take Your Chances

Do you think people deserve second chances?
Yes everyone deserves a second chance, at least.

We all have been lots of chances. If I am worth it, then I know for sure other people are.

Part Three Visions From a Child livng in SC on a Mill Village

I guess by now if you have read any of my Journal, You have probably guessed who that baby born in 1945 was.

Yes I was the baby of the family.  I was not wanted by my middle sister as I have been told.  I also was told I was a accident.  My mother went into the hospital to have her appendix out and the Doctor found a problem with her womb and fixed it. Approx. 9 months later OOPS.

I have been told alot of this, so some of my memories are what I have heard from family but yet they feel like I remember them all of them just like they were yesterday.

*The reason I am writing this down now, is in my heart I feel like I might have the beginnings of alziemers( misspelled). No Doctor has told me this. Just a down deep feelings and it runs in my family. Grandmother had hardening of the arteries, my mother died with alziemers and my oldest sister has dimeners(misspelled).*

I weighted 9 lbs 9 oz at birth but grew up to be very skinny. Skinny was not popular back then.  All the popular girls had alot of shape. I was straight up and down and I was very aware of this.  I also was born with buck teeth.  I was very aware of this.  I got teased about both of these.  I had long stringy black hair.  Except when pictures were made and then my mother would roll my hair with brown paper bag strips and it would stick out every where.  I really never seen very many pictures of me growing up so this is straight from memory.  I don't know what happen to these pictures.  I have looked many times hunting up a few pictures of me not finding many at all.

I had mainly boy cousins that was my age. My father made sure we visted family regular so I played with boys alot.  I was more a tom boy than girly.  I had dolls but they just sat.  I don't remember playing with dolls at all.  I played outside all the time.

I don't remember an awful lot about school.  Evidently I did not like school much. I heard all my life about my middle sister being spanked because she could not spell her name or my daddy helping my middle sister with school.  But I never remember anyone helping me with school. Sisters or Parents.  My parents never went past the 7th grade from what I was told. My daddy went to 7th and I never really heard from my mother about what grade.  They both lived on farms and helped in the field from what I was told.  My middle sister finished school but neither my oldest sister or me finished high school.  I don't remember which grade my oldest sister went too but I do know she started work in mill at 16.  I went to eleventh grade.  But I did finish later by getting GED and going to classes at Piedmont Tec and then later in life taking other classes else where.  I like to learn things but I have difficulty reading and remembering what I read without reading it over and over.  I beleive that if drugs were there then for this problem and teachers would have known. I would have been given something. Just my opinion again.  I have lots of opinions.  There was very little interest in school work as far as I remember.  At the age of First grade to about 7th grade I mainly remember my mother working on second shift or third shift because my daddy was a foreman and she could not work for him.  Later in life she worked on First Shift in different mill than him.
We lived at Grendel Mill Village till I started 7th grade and then we moved on the other side of town to Mathews Mill Village.  In Greenwood, it was like moving to another town because you never saw the people that  went to school with until High School. There was three different junior high schools. 7th, 8th and 9th.   The junior high I went to did not open till I was in 8th grade so I went to Mathews school in 7th grade.
Grendel Mill Village went on 4 days a week and Self Mills offered my daddy a job at Durst plant so this is why we moved.  He got more pay and 6 days a week.  My mother went to work there about 6 months later..First and Second Grade at Jordan Street School. Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth at Magnolia School. Seventh Grade at Mathews School. Eighth and Ninth in Southside Junior High and then Greenwood High School.
                                                     A FEW MEMORIES OF SCHOOL

Some of these memories I have no clue why I would remember it:
First Grade-Mrs Agnew
We had a girl which was my friend that sat beside me that picked her nose and ate it.
Second Grade-Mrs Durst
     Nothing stand out
Third Grade-Mrs Wamer
     Nothing stands out
Fourth Grade
     Nothing stands out
Fifth Grade-Mrs Jarvis
One of the guys had a seizure, I knew nothing about this.
We rode a plane to Greenville, SC. I got sick and my daddy had to come get me.
Sixth Grade-Mrs Carroll
We had a fire drill and i started down the stairs and my teacher pinched me and left a big red mark on me.
A Boy that went to school with me. Woodrow Smith, his sister came and told me Woody wanted me to go to church party with him. We played spin the bottle. First. Did not really care much.
Seventh Grade-Mrs Burnett
At lunch I did not want my boiled egg, I gave it away and it fell on floor and me and two boys got in trouble. and had to go to office and get our hands spanked. I remember the boys names Randy Hall, and Curtis Poss.  Other than not much else.
I walked home from school and on my way one day a kid in the other room (mother worked with my daddy and mother) was teasing me and calling me names, she was way taller than me and mean. She kept on and on and finally I threw my books at her head.
I remember some boys chewing tobacco and spitting in their notebooks and getting sick and caught.
First boy that invited me somewhere(boy scout dance, I walked there and met him there, he did not come to get me)
Eighth Grade-Mrs Fuller and etc.
Mrs Fuller was homeroom and science and social ed., I loved her she would take us to her house and she was just a great teacher.
I took Drivers head from Mr Edwards.
Ninth Grade-
First year I ever failed anything.
I met a fast girl and for some reason looked up to her and played hooky quite a bit and this is where I really started to go downhill in school.  I had a boy that liked me and went to prom but really never cared. A group of us went together. Really first time of doing anything like this.
Tenth Grade-high school-
I Had bunch of classes and walking from one floor to the other of a three story building then going out of building and walking down into another building. Two minutes between classes. Wow.  First year that I really hated school. and felt dumb. and ugly bad.

****** More later hopefully today********

Writer's Block: Heavenly Bodies

If you discovered a new planet, what would you name it?
Those planets are in God's Hands.

Maybe Earth Two because if I discovered a planet, there would have to be people on it.  I can not handle being alone.
So I guess maybe someone else probably would have already discovered it, so I bet they would have already named it.

Thinking of my Past and Looking into my future Part two

On May 3, 1945 the mother of this family had a 9 lb 9 oz baby girl and this made the youngest sister very angry. She had been the baby for 9 years and then a little sister come along.  I also had a cousin born this same day. My mother's sister had a son that morning at six and I was born at 6 pm.  My mother's mother called us her twin grands. He and I was always close. He died in 1995 with a massive heart attack.
We lived in the house that I described until I was in the 5th grade.
I really don't remember a whole lot about living in this house but of course. My family and I talked alot and it seems like I remember it all.
I stayed in my parents bedroom until I was one in a baby bed then, I was bought a single bed and I stayed in room with my sisters. I was always closest to my oldest sister's.  In the summer time my sisters would keep me.  Otherwise I stay at the day care in the mill village. I do remember the ladies were very good to all of us and we had great food. Above the day care was the first and second grade and I went to that school too.  My first grade teacher was Mrs. Agnew and second was Mrs. Durst.
I had one best friend who lived with her parents and little brother in a duplex behind us until her father quit the cotton mill and then they got a house somewhere else and I would go visit some.  She had a different life style than what my parents had. Her mother and daddy smoked. Mine didn't. Her parents drank and mine didn't.  Her father was kind of lazy. She had a great mother. But my parents stayed friendly with them after they move so all of us would go places together up until I was about 10. Not sure what happen after that.  Did not see her much again until high school.  I remember once her and I was playing in the back yard and we had bricks that we had made like we were cooking and we were eating mud pies. Crazy huh but we had fun.  Then one time I remember she had this little baby kitten and she brought it over to play and it got lost in the house and we looked and looked for it and couldn't find it. Then later that evening , My mother opened a cedarchest and it came bouncing out and scared her.
We all got big laugh about that.  She would go to church with us but her parents did not go too regular.
I also had friend at the day care but not real close friends. Just friendly. My parents were real protective of me, with lots of rules.  I had cousins that lived in the mill village also. My daddy's sister and her husband and children moved there when I was about six. So I stayed with them some when my sisters were doing things.
My cousin is the one that taught me to ride bycycle, I got on it and he pushed me down the hill and let go and off I went but I learn how quick. He was a little older than me and kind of rouddy but we had fun sometime because I was  a tom boy. I had mainly boy cousins my age and alot of them.
My daddy made sure we went to see family regular.  We would go back to McCormick to visit his mother about every other weekend.  I would stay alot with my Aunt Inez because she did not have children until I was 5, but then she got pregnant and died at child birth. She was good to me. Or at least this is what I was told. I don't remember that hardly at all.
One evening my mother had me in bathtub giving me a bath. My daddy was at sink shaving and we had a peeping tom. My daddy ran out the door and down the steps and ran after him forever. Finally the police came and got him. I do remember this and it was scary. I was very young but I remember that. Or at least I think I do. He got things out of Daddy's garage and made him a step and was peeping in the window. He was a young man. We knew him. Daddy and Mother were friend with his parents and they went to our church. Why do people do things like that?
We had these wooden floors like I told you earlier. My daddy would have all of us using this paste wax and we would put it down and then Daddy would get us in a blanket and whirl us round and round polishing the floor. It was great fun but I remember my sisters fussing about it. My middle sister was kind of lazy. My oldest sister would do her chores all the time because she did not like her fussing.
My oldest sister quit school at 16 and went to work in the cotton mill on second shift. She bought our very first TV. Said it was for me for Christmas. I was 6 almost 7 years old. It was a box black and white.  Before this we would go window shopping on Sunday and I remember us looking thru the window in this furniture store and looking at the TV. They would be closed but they would have it on.  No stores were open in this town back then on Sunday.
I remember at no time us going out to eat until I was about ten. I never remember my sisters going out to eat with us until after they were grown.  I remember one place we eat a couple times named Rosalyns and they served spagetta and the plate seem to get larger , the more I eat. But I only remember maybe twice going there.
I do remember that we always went to mountains in the fall and would ride to Table Rock or Cherokee some Sundays.  I remember one vacations we stayed a couple nights in this cabin. My sisters and i climb this mt. to see a sign and my oldest sister rolled down the mountain and got skinned all up.
I remember once when probably five or six me and my middle sister's best friend little sister was running round and round in their house and I fell into the door facing and ended up having to get stitches in my head and sister getting into trouble for letting me run in their house.
I remember one time my middle sister had me on the back wheel riding my bike and I caught my foot in the spoke and had to get stitches. Don't know how old I was then.
More later got to go to bed, It is 3 am.
